| mparvensky: Bunkovce | | Vivian Where did you gain access to the 1897 directory of landowners? My family is from Porostov but I found out that my great grandmother was probably from Bunkovce. I ordered the church records from the family history center. The area is still basically farming - wheat which is combined in late June or early July. Most people have huge gardens of potatoes, cabbage, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, flowers, etc. They support themselves. Most also will have a pig or two - chickens, rabbits, etc. |
