I am looking for families that might relate too or know of Mary NAGY who married Andras BOZOKI ca 1900 in Cenalos. He was the son of "Frank" BOZOKI and Eva FINDASY. She was the daughter of Louis NAVY and Clara MILNER.
Mary went to NYCity to work and then came back in 1918 to then bring her whole family to NY and they arrived in April 1921.
Does anyone connect to these families?
I know that one of her sons, Laszlo BOZOKI who was born in 1901, married Rose MANCZY and they remained in Cenalos which is now Biharcsalalos, but in Romania.
They had a daughter Anna Maria BOZOKI.between 1928 - 1930.

I was born and raised in Cenalos (Csanálos)in 1942, and none of the above mentioned names are in existence in this village.
Cenalos is a very small village, with population of less then 200. I knew everybody by name, and never heard anyone mentioning those names. I lived there till the early 60s, and frequently visited my parents till the early 70s.
There is another Csanálos (Urziceni) in Szatmár (Satu Mare) region. close to Nagy Károly (Carei). Would it be possible that your ancestors came from that town?

Thank you for your reply. I have since located our Bozoki family who are now in Oradea, Bihor, Romania. It used to be Csanalos, Bihar, Hungary. The family lived in Varpolota, Veszprem, Hungary and also in Poklostelek, Hungary. They went to bed one night living in Hungary and awoke the next morning living in Romania. This was after WWI when the "powers that be" divided up the area. I cannot imagine having to learn new language and culture/history when you haven't moved.
The Feranc Bozoki and Mary Nagy family. Also I guess Oredea is also called "Nagyvarad". They seem to use the Hungarian as well as the Romanian names.

I see that I also misspelled the NAGY and used Navy instead. Also I now have Mile as a surname along with Kucsmas and Szatmari.
It has been wonderful to have been actually found by the family and we are in constant contact. They are 2nd and 3rd cousins of my husband. We have learned so much about his family history and the history, that it has been very rewarding to all of us.
