Lee Ann: Kajarpec (Kispecz)

I am looking for information about the village of Kajarpec (formerly Kispecz) in Gyor county. My grandfather was born there in 1898. I know only its location, but would be interested to learn about its history, population and what it was like in my grandfather's time. He emigrated in 1905, but I'd also like to know what the village is like now.

Kispec is a friendly small village now. My grandfather also lived there. It has about 2000 inhabitants. It is clean and it has a nice small hill, with vineyards. If you are interested I can take pictures for you.If you know Hungarian you can read its history here:

Thank you for your information! I don't read Hungarian but there is some information on the website you noted that I can translate. I would love to see some picturesof the village if you can take them. I believe pictures can easily be posted on this site.

Thank you so much! I'm sure I still have relatives (Gerencser)in Kajarpec. My great-grandfather's family lived in Kispecz for generations. If you are close to the Lutheran church, I'd love to see a picture of it.

Ilived in Kajar from 1931 to 1946, and I can tell you alot about your relatives.

My great grandparents left Kispecz in 1905. But there may be a branch of the family descended from my great-grandfather's sister, or from my great-grandmother's side of the family. What information do you have?
