| brenda schwarcz: Re: fekete | Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
I'm researching because of my husband. He was born in 1935 FEKETE, Zoltān Kāroly, only child of Dr. Fekete Tibor, born 22/08/1887 at Mezoekoevesd. His mother was Regto Violet, born 17/07/1904 Budapest. His father was killed at the end of the war and his mother disappeared abroad. He was taken illegally out of Hungary under false papers with a false name in 1946. That's where the name Schwarcz comes from.
He's very anxious to know something of his Hungarian roots. He knows very little of his family. On his birth certificate it states that his father was the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Interior for the Royal Hungarian Government. He found his mother in Brussels many years later and was told that his father's family were titled and called Legyesbenyei. That is all the information we have.
We have planned a trip to Hungary next year with his youngest son who is very interested in knowing his Hungarian roots so it would be nice to have a little more information about the family before we go.
Thank you for your interest.
With kind regards
Brenda
