Informations about our first ancestor is from the year 1231. The family had spread all over the continent (Slovakia, Hungary, Poland...). As I know, wherever the family is spread, it comes from the same ancestor. I am looking forward to your reply. 	jenny: Re: Bohus Hello.. Unfortunately I do no know much. I am going to approach my mom to see what she can tell me. The most I remember is the Hungarian gypsy doll that came from hungry. I think I had an uncle named Alex but im not sure where he came from. My dad was born in Hungry..Johnny Bohus. I have looked on web sites to see if I look Hungarian but it seems they are mostly brown hair with brown eyes. can you send me pictures? I always get asked about my name and I never know what to say..just that it is Hungarian. As a kid I liked the thought of maybe being a gypsy. I picked the screen name "jenny" but my name is Zsofia, I think it was my grandma's name in Hungry and thought maybe I was named after her. My full name is Zsofia Ilona Bohus. Some how along the way Ilona was dropped and then I took my step dads name of Hayden, my babysitter call me JO. Any thing Hungarian was completely wiped out. It wasn’t until I got older and had more control that I started using Zsofia and now I also want my middle name back. And I most definitely want to know who I am...I'm 50% Hungarian and I know absolutely nothing about it. My grandma (my mom's mom) used to make for goulosh...i thought that was a Hungarian dish. She only made it for me so that’s what I assumed. I will definitely get back to you. I am so very excited about what you have told me so far. My Grandparents are both from Hungary, very little family left so I dont know much. Great Grand mother = Sofia Botos, Budapest (Bohos? similar, change of spelling upon nationalization to the United States) Daughter out of wedlock Erzabet Botos, who was my grandmother. Sofia came to the United states in 1906 and married Josep Kaman resided in the Buffalo New York area. Erzabet came to the United States in 1911 by her self. She lived with relatives when her mother left her in 1906. I have some family photos very Old,need to scan them and get them online. Family story said Sophia Botos had a fling\affair with the famous Poet in budapest... Isnt that a fun family story. I am in Utah and have access to the LDS Genealogy Archives, I just dont know where to start. If you have any comments, Ideas?
