| Zlatica : Re: Diamant family | Few years back I was helping a gentleman on a www.iarelative.com board with the name DIAMANT and his roots were from Laksarska Nova Ves.
The village of Felsolocz falls into the old Pozsony megye which is now Horne Lovcice, Bratislava county, Slovak Republic. This village along with Dolne Lovcice are incorporated into Brestovany.
http://mapy.atlas.sk for present name location
The old 1910 Hungarian megye map is at :
http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910 click on Pozsony.
The village is little bit East of Nagyszombat / Trnava.
The Slovak Republic's phone site is at :
www.zoznamst.sk
Seven listings for DIAMANT in SK's phone book in Bratislava, Banska Bystrica, Zarnovica, and Trnava.
The Trnava's Diamant could possibly be a distant relative.
The LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) have filmed the church records but this regions are not released yet into the Family History Center Library. Your friend can send a request to the archive or hire a genealogist to go to the archive to do the research for him.
