| Frank Nagy | My great-grandparents were Nagy Peter and Madarasz Maria of Mihalydi/Nyirmihalydi. Grandfather Nagy Gabor left there in 1906. Three of his siblings (Imre, Andras, and Ersebet) also
emigrated to the U.S.
From the Ellis Island archives, it appears that there was a
"pipeline" from Mihalydi to Coatesville, PA. Great Uncle Andy lived out his entire life in Coatesville. He married there, raised a family, died, and was buried there. Have not had any contact with his descendants for more than three decades. Uncle Andy had only daughters (all of whom are also dead) so our Nagy name is no longer extant there.
There were several fellow villagers who were passengers aboard the vessels which brought Andras and Gabor
to the States. They too were headed for Coatesville. Hope to make some sort of connection. So I cast my bread upon the water.
