| Uri: Klein Izso from Putnok, Hungarian soldier killed in 1915 | My father had an uncle Izso Klein who was born in Putnok, Gomor Megye, Hungary in 1882. His religion: Jewish, married, occupation: a teacher (probably in an elementary school in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia). He was a cadet of the infantry regiment number 4, the 11th division of the Hungarian army (Honved). He fell on the 5th of December 1915 near Ramiano, Gorz, Kustenland (in Italy) and was buried there on the 6th of December 1915. He was decorated a silver medal for bravery of first class and another golden medal for bravery.
My father remembers that the photos of Izso and the other killed soldiers were published in the Hungarian military periodical “Erdekes Ujsag” in the section of “Kepes Kronika”. The headline of it was "Hosok galeriaja” (= “Gallery to the heroes”). This periodical was probably dated from the same week of that battle.
I will appreciate very much any information about how to locate the above-mentioned Hungarian periodical (“Erdekes Ujsag”) in any archive and receive a copy of the page in which the photograph of Izso Klein is.
