Hello, fellow researchers.
I am looking for information on my Reis/Reiss family who immigrated to USA late 1880 from Roszahegy/Szent-Mihaly area.
Father was Jacob Reis, his father was Leib. Jacob's first wife was Esther Porges who remained in Europe.
The family is Jewish.

My family is descended from the last name of Reis and Oettingen. Jacob Reis was my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather. 1652-1741. Royal Court Jester to Peter the Great of Russia, August the Strong of Dresden and Karl VI of Vienna. Father was a Court Minter.
