I was hoping make contact with anyone in or specifically working on these two towns. (Sid and Kucura - Rusyn). I have some contacts in Sid, but lack any contacts in Kucura. In Sid (on the Croatian border). I already have some cousins doing research for me. (IE photographs of gravestone, civil and state records).
Yes they are both in Serbia, Vojvodina. My cousins have also provided me with a lot of oral knowledge. (IE lcoatations of other towns in which the extended family lives: Vukovar, Berkasovo, Gunja, Kucura, Sid, Kinkindi, and Ruski Kerestur, mainly the Hromis family).
I am just hitting a blank spot in locating church records for the period of 1820-1880. Some think the government "collected" all these records.
You never know sometimes I get lucky with these postings.
