I am looking for any available information concerning Zsofia Cvajniga - immigrated to the US through Ellis Island, possibly 1906 from Hernadfo Hungary. Had a brother named Martin Cvajniga who lived in Tovarenska Czech in 1948. Looking for relatives of Martin.

The surname CVAJNIGA lists in Svit, Poprad and Banska Bystrica.

There is Tovarne, Tovarnianska Polianka and Tovarniky in Slovak Republic.
In 1948 the country was Czechoslovakia but in 1993 separated into Czech Republic and Slovak Republic.
There were 2 CZVANYIGAs that passed thru Ellis Island.
The village of Hernadfo is Vikartovce, SK.
Do you have a full address for this Martin?

Using One Step in locating an Ellis Island manifest
www.stevemorse.org I located a Martin CZWANIGA from Hernadfo.
From Hernadfo in 1906 passed thru EI a Zsofia Zgebuna. No such surname but it most likely is Zgebura and that surname lists in Vikartovce's phone book.
