	csapai: Re: Csapai Yes any history would interest me. Roughly I can go back to 1780 to Istvan Csapai came from Alsonyek but nothing before. Then came Peter Csapai and another Peter Csapai and another Sandor Csapai and Lajos Csapai and Sandor Csapai and Sandor Csapai and me Sandor R. CsapaiPlus wifes and childern.I was in Erseckcsand doing research with the reformatus pop. But I could not make to Alsonyek. Sorry I can't write in Magyar, but I can read it very slowly. 	csapai: Csapai in Kiskoros I am also interested in Csapai family in or around Kiskoros that trace back to Ersekcsanad and the Csapai families. There is a missing branch there in. Could also give more info going back to Alsonyek or back even more. 	csapai Kosonom a kepeket Robi. Az utorso harm Csapai nekrol hirtelen nem tudok. De azert probalok megtuni roluk. Edes apam monta mutko, hogy volt egy Csapai Julies vagy lidia gyerek korba ( eznem Csapai Lajos, Csapai Sandor, Csapai Istvan, Csapai Julis, Csapai Peter meg halt kiskoraba, es Csapai Zsuzsa mert azk negyem es batgyam) aki Cs Felso Janos ferjevot, edes apja Csapai? De nem tartozot a rokonsgba tudomasara serint, vagyis nem a mi agunkba volt. De Csapai Andras az stimel, csak Orgapom nem volt bistos hogy Andras vagy Peter volt a u okoreg apjanak a edes apja neve kebzedel. Es a temploba nemvolt rola informatcio. Kikebzete hogy csak ki kolot volna meni a temetobe. A masik harom Csapaine is a reformatus tmetob van. 	csapai sandor: csapai We came from nagy alsonyek up north it is called something else and a city know? From what can be remembered. The family or at least Istvan Csapai made his way soulth around or threw the Balaton district. Then all the way to Alsonyak the small town in the soulth which still there. To Ersekcsand. Which the attached tree shows hopefully the fill opens. What I am after is info on 1779, before and after. Most inportantly the heredity of the surname csapai is Truely Hungarian? 	arpad: válasz Köszönöm a Csapai család önök által ismert nemzetságtábláját. A mi részünk egy Erdélybe szakadt rész. Bár nagyon ritka név Erdélyben mégis találtunk Csapai nevüt 1600-ból is. A nemzetségtáblánk azonban itt sajnos nem világos. Nagyapám Csapai Sándor, Csapai Zsuzsanna fia 1895-ben született. Talán Parajdon vagy a környékén. Onnan tovább azonban semmit nem tudunk. Sajnos valamiért el van hallgatva ez a rész.A nagyapám apjának a neve hiányzik. Erdéyben Csapai család nagyon kevés van a mi rokonainkon kivül. 	arpadcs: Re: válasz Nincs kétség affelöl, hogy a Csapai magyar név, ha jól értem kérdését. A magyar családnevek jó része helységnév, így helymegjelölés, mint pl.Budai-Budáról való, Szigeti-Szigetről való, Horthy-Hort községből való, stb. A Csapai név tehát a Csapa nevü helységből származik, amely a Drávaszögben található Esszék mellett a mai Horvátoszág területén Cepin néven. Valószinüleg magyarok lakják ma is, mert a interneten magyarul is megtalálható Csapa címszó alatt. Ami még érdekes, hogy Csapa nevü hegy is van Zalaegerszeg mellett.
