VAToth: TOTH-TOMKOVITZ-DUNACEK-TAMAS
I am looking for any information on the families of my grandparents (JANOS or JOHN TOTH, born 1880, and (EDITH) ANNA TOMKOVITZ or Tomkovits, born around 1881), and of my great-grandparents (ROSA DUNACEK, born about 1850, and JANOS TOTH, born in 1841 or 1842). All were born in Hungary, in Northern Hungary or Transylvania. They may have lived in the Zemplen area at one time.

Great-grandfather JANOS TOTH probably died between 1900 and 1910. His place of death is unknown, but it wasn't in Texas. My grandparents and great-grandmother all died in Ellis County, Texas.

My grandfather JANOS (JOHN) TOTH immigrated to the US in 1891 with his parents and with his 5 brothers and sisters (Klara, Rozsa, Balazs, Gyorgy and Maria). Although they initially entered the US at the Port of New York, they traveled West and settled in Alma, Ellis County, Texas.

My grandmother, (EDITH) ANNA TOMKOVITZ/VITS TOTH, immigrated to the US in June 1904 via the Port of Galveston, Texas. She joined her sister and her brother-in-law, JOZSEF TAMAS, in Alma, Texas. She married my grandfather JANOS TOTH in October 1904. They ultimately had five children (Helen, Emma, George, Albert and Charlie).

My grandmother's sister and her brother-in-law JOZSEF TAMAS moved to Cleveland, Ohio or perhaps to Chicago, Illinois.

Thanks for any help you can give!
P.S. My Hungarian is really shakey, but I can read a little.
