I'm looking for any information on a Krajcs family from Eger, Hungary. The father Krajcs Istavan (born 1886) moved to Budhapest then left for the U.S. in about 1918. His father's name was Joseph and his mother was Takaes Katerine. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you!!!
The correct spelling would be Istvan and Katerine's last name Takacs.
The LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) website is listing church records for the town of Eger. For a small fee you can order the films and gather ancestral information off of them.
44 KRAJCSs and 2622 TAKACSs passed thru Ellis Island. It is possible that your anestor's family might have passed thru that port.
