| tjnamtiw: Jasenov | I have located some of my grandfather's family who lived in the little town of Jasenov, near Sobrance. His mother came from the town just below it, Ruskovce. Her maiden name was Maria Dzvonik (spelling?). Looks like Degouyik on baptismal certificate. His name was Pal Dankocsik.
Any other information would be appreciated. He and his mother came to the US in 1907 and went to West Virginia's coal mines at Monongah. That's where the big disaster occurred shortly after he arrived. |
