| R Helfer: MOLNÁR János, ca. 1800 | According to Roman Catholic church records in Bakóvár, Temes, MOLNÁR János was born around 1800 in Jóka (or possibly Újhelyjóka). Some time before 1821 he married VILAGI Katalin and they had at least one child, a daughter named Klara, born in Jóka around 1821. This family moved to Szilas, Temes, before October 1836; both Katalin and Klara died there on 12 October 1836, probably of cholera. János married a second time (to HLAVATI Maria), but died in 1842 leaving his wife and daughter. Family tradition suggests that there was at least one other child, but I have not found any evidence.
