I have just begun looking for Jung family in Katymar, there would also be Einwiller...my grandparents fled Hungary in 1921 and came to US via Ellis Island to eventually settle in Lucas County, Ohio (Toledo area). I am told almost all from Katymar are somewhat inter-related. I am more interested in daily life than political climate. Thanks!

Eileen: Re: Katymar families
I know that Katharina Einwiller was born 18 February 1898 in Katymar, the daughter of Matthias Einwiller (b. 22 September 1871 in Gara, d. 11 October 1920 in Katyamr) and Eva Mikitsch (b. 11 July 1875 in Katymar, d. 25 May 1904 in Katymar). They were married 12 November 1895 in Katymar and had five children: Katharina, Helene (b. 24 January 1897 d. 6 February 1897), Georg (b. 3 October 1899, d. 4 August 1900), Helene (b. 5 May 1901, d. 6 October 1937), and Adam (b. 11 February 1903).

Georg Jung was born 10 December 1891 in Katymar, the son of Florian Jung (b. 29 September 1868 in Katymar, d. 21 September 1922 in Katymar) and Maria Baum (b. 11 September 1869 in Katymar). They were married 21 April 1891 in Katymar.

Georg and Katharina were married 7 December 1914 in Katymar. The first three children were born in Katymar, and the other 5 were born in the US.

Thank you, Eileen, for this information of my mother's family. She is the fourth of the five children born to Katharine and Georg in the USA. We were just recently made aware that there was one child born in Hungary before they fled to the US in 1916(?), this child apparently died in route to LeHavre France. We hadn't realized there were three! I wonder what became of the other two?

Of the five born in the US, four are still living and are still in the Toledo area. There are nearly 75 relatives now in the Toledo and So Michigan area, with a few of us scattered in other states like Tennesee and California.

Susan, after reading the family info Eileen provided, do you think you may be related somehow?

Eileen, thanks again...

Suzanna: Re: Katymar families
Hello, I just saw your post and my great-great grandmother is a Jung from Kaytmar, Hungary. Her name is Theresia Jung and she married Adam Albrecht. Their grandchildren came to Cleveland, Ohio in the 1920's. I don't have too much information on their history. Just names and dates. Nothing on the Albrecht's.

Eileen Wilson: Re: Katymar families
Suzanna, I think we may have corresponded before, but Theresia's parents were Christopher Jung and Anna Maria Schadt, who are also my third great-grandparents, making us 4th cousins. Adam's parents are given as Paul Albrecht & Anna Maria Ziel from Kunbaja, but I do not have the records for that village. I may be able to lay my hands on them to check if there are dates for this couple. If you want to reach me directly, you can email me at eileenwilson AT powergate DOT com
