| juraj karas: mirkovce | Mirkovce is one of the most beautiful village in the east of Slovakia.It is situated in the valley under the imposant hill called Zobrana.The name of the stream is Balky.It has aproximately more than thousand inhabitants,half of them are gypsies.The name of the current mayor is Lubomir Bilisnansky.We have a bakery here,which produced bread with special taste.To speak about night life is difficult.Young people usually visit next village Zehna or go to the city Presov,/15 km/.
We have a new church here, which became a dominant part of the village and is situated in the centre of the village.
We have many opportunities for tourism.´Cold rock´ and Baracka,where is natural water and place to make a fire.
On the other side are Rocks,where is beautiful sightsseing.When the weather is good you can also see High Tatras.For me is a perfect place for small vacation.
