| rschieber: Keller, Pakaczan | | I have a problem. My ancestor Frank Bakazan arrived in the U.S. in 1911 I believe possibly in October while his wife Elizabeth Keller arrived in April of 1911. The problem is that Frank Bakazan was not his name before coming here. I have found a Frank Pakaczow (Pakaczan?) that arrived in Halifax, Canada on October 15, 1911. Elizabeth sailed with her brother Peter and his family in April 1911 directly to the States. I need to find someway to find out what Frank Bakazan's name was. They married in I believe Nakofalva (Nakova) and lived there together after they married. His home town was Marienfeld (Nagyteremia). I would think that their marriage in the church records could tell me his name but I am not there to look. I have documents saying that he came here via Halifax, via Detroit.
