KOVALCIK OF LATROBE, PA, USA: ANDREAS KOVALCSIK OF NEDECA
I am searching for information or descendants of my great grandfather Andreas Kovalcsik

He was born in 1859 in Nedeca (nedecz) (near or in Poland)
He lived in house #41 during the 1869 census.
His fathers name was Voytech Kovalcik,
His mother was Zofia (Sofia)Gnofsky Kovalcsik,
He had two step brothers Voytech (maybe went by Peter) and Paul.

Andrew came to America in 1886 and first settled in Bitumen, PA (near Renovo,Westport, Noyes Township, Clinton County, PA)

In 1900, he move to West Latrobe (LLoydsville), PA (Westmoreland County, PA, Near Latrobe, PA)

We believe step brothers Pete and Paul lived with Andrew in Bitumen or Latrobe for a short period of time.

Any information on descendants of Pete or Paul Kovalcsik of Nedeca would be appreciated.

Hi

You might want to post on Poland and Slovak Republic's board, if you have not already.
The English Y is a J sound so your Voytech is Vojtech.
KOVALC^IK is Slovak; KOVALCSIK is Hungarian and KOWALCZYK would be Polish.
Few sites :

Unfortunately, the Polish phone site www.ksiazka-telefoniczna.com has not been working so can not find out if there might be some distant relatives still in ancestral village.
