| Carol Cincotta: LUTZ family name | My grandmother's maiden name was Margaret LUTZ and she says she was born in Zichydorf in 1886. Her parents were Adam Lutz and Margaret Wiome and I presumed they were mar in Zichydorf.
Adam and Margaret had 6 daughters and one son, Franz. I believe Franz was killed in WWI and is buried in Zichydorf but I have no idea if he married or had children.
Margaret mar Michael Schagh who also was born (1882) in Zichydorf. Her parents stayed in Zichydorf and I am presuming they are buried there also. She was raised Catholic. She and Michael had two children born in Zichydorf, Eva and Mathias, before they immigrated to Canada and finally to St Paul, MN, USA by 1917 when my mother was born.
Any help tracking the families would be appreciated. I have no expertise in any language other than English but I think I can get any messages translated if I had to. Thanks....carol |
