Does anyone know where the town of Galszecs is ? (in Hungary)
I don't know if it is still called by that name.
My grandfather lived there and I would like to find the city.

I had a grandfather living there (name: Berach Paskesz) and I am trying to get some information about him.
Is there a Jewish cemetary in this city?

The LDS-Mormons website is listing Jewish records for Secovce. You can order them and gather ancestral information.
Take a look in www.jewishgen.org/cemetary/e-europe/slov-s-t.html There is information about Jewish cemetaries in Slovakia. Most likely Martina can help you with the cemetary as she lives in Secovce.

According to passport records my grandfather was born in Galszecs, Hungary about 1852. Would also like to know its location as it does not come up in Google.

G�lsz�cs is now called Secovce (with a diacritical mark on the "c" - it is in Slovakia, East of Kosice.

my great great grandparents were murdered in their home in 1926 in Galszecs. they lived around kadet street. in the Kassa area. i can't find these areas on modern maps of Secovce. does anyone know where these streets might have been. i plan to visit this town in the spring.
the names were Jakob and Molly Weissberger. their tombstone is still in the cemetery there as far as i understand.
