connelc: Skurka
Janos Skurka was born in Nizne Slovinky in Nov. 1876. he is buried in St. Theodosius Cemetery in Brooklyn, Ohio after having died 18 May 1926. The picture document I posted here lists (sisters?) Maria, Anna and Julia, and he may have been the son of another Janos. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Zlatica : Re: Skurka
Sorry, I do not know Magyar but I went to look at the document.
I noticed that there is a mention of a house number 33 at that time.
Also noticed in #6 a name JANCSO Gyorgy. The name JANC'O does still list in Slovinky's phone book.

graban: Graban Family
Looking for information on the Graban family. I have information on a Michael Graban, born in Slovinky (don't know year), he married Elizabeth Democko. I know of 2 sons, Roman, Michael and George D. I think George was born in 1879 in Slovinky and later moved the U.S. (Ohio). Any information on this family would be appreciated. George is my husbands grandfather

I think there are Graban's in the cemetary in Brookside Alabama from St Nicholas Orthodox Church.
I moved to TN but occasionally make it back down there
My Grandfather came from Slovinky in 1905
