It seems that the town of Szurte and Sislocz is now in Ukraine.

My grandparents were from Szurte. The surname was Fried - Fanny and Samuel. My grandmother was born around 1915. Is there any information on surviving jews from that region? i will be traveling to the Ukraine next month.

Bonjour, j'habitait à Szurte à 10 km de la frontière hongroise qui désormais est en Ukraine. Je connais le jeune Lajos Kovacs qui habite actuellement à Szurte.Cependant plusieurs famille du nom de Kovacs y demeure. Ainsi je ne pourais vous dire s'il s'agit de la personne que vous recherchez.
