	Doris: Poncsak family I am looking for ancestors of Istavan Poncsak and Marth Chuka/Csuka who came to Canada in about 1902 from Tornyosplaca. Another couple who may have come from the same place is Louis Bodnar and wife Magdelana Lakatos. 	poncsaklaszlo: Re: Poncsak family Hallo Doris. I am Laszlo Poncsak. And I am living in Hungary. My grandpa was Laszlo Poncsak and my grandma is Erzsebet Szilvacsku. They had 5 childrens but two was died lots of years ago. My grandpa was killed during the Soviet occupation in Tornyospalca in 1964 when my father was 2 years old. My grandma still lives in Tornyospalca and maybe she can tell me something about our family. She showed me pictures and letters last year, which was sent from Canada from our family. I hope you are still on this site and will read my message. I will talk about this forum with my grandma in the weekend and maybe I can tell you more next week. I hope you will get this message! 	poncsaklaszlo: Re: Poncsak family Hello Doris I talked to my Grandma on the phone yesterday. My Grandfather was Laszlo Poncsak as I mentioned. His father was Sandor Poncsak, so he is my great-Grandfather who was born in about 1886. Sandor Poncsak had four sisters and four brothers. The sisters were Vilma Poncsak (moved to Germany), Marta Poncsak (moved to Slovakia), Anna Poncsak (died in Tornyospalca), Maria Poncsak (also died in Tornyospalca). The brothers were Andras Poncsak, Ferenc Poncsak, Janos Poncsak (they died in Tornyospalca) and Istvan Poncsak, who emigrated to Canada in the early 1900's. That is what my Grandma said yesterday. So I think we have the same great-great-Grandfather if you are Istvan Poncsak's descendant. :)))) We found the connection! It is great! I send you a picture of me if possible!
