Phoffmeyer: Tvrdosin SK
Lukacsy family of Tvrdosin Slovakia? Four Lukacsy sisters immigrated to U.S. approx. 1891. Particularly interested in other 1 sister and two brothers who migrated to Budapest about the same time. Father of the seven was Jozef Lukacsy ,tanner of Tvrdosin SK. His wife and the Mother of the seven was Frances Szaflarsky (Saflarski?)from a village in Poland possibly Dunacek. They would have married, in Poland, approx. 1868. The three Lukacsy who went to Budapest were Joseph, Mary and John. Joseph, a druggist died age 72, Mary died age 57, John may have been in government died in his 80's . Any information would be appreciated.

Zlatica : Re: Tvrdosin SK
There were 7 LUKACSYs that passed thru Ellis Island to America after 1891. They too could be related to your ancestor.
The town of Tvrdosin's phone book is listing a Slovak spelling LUKAC'I which would be LUKACSY(I) in Magyar.
