The LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) website is listing church records of Abaujszanto. You can order the films and gather ancestral information.

I was in Ungvar less than two years ago but could not stay long enough to know if municipal records survived the war and if they are still there somewhere.

Die Brunner von Pest (Patrizier) werden geadelt(Wappen?). Ein Zweig nach Comitatus Szatmar (Nagy Karoly). Eine Catharina Brunner verheiratet 1822 mit gambbsenbergi Schoenpflug Antal I.(seine II.Ehe!) in Nagy Karoly. Mehrere Brunner im Comitat(Szatmar). Davon vielleicht ein Zweig nach Ungvar (Ungburg, Ushgorod, Uzsgorod),Ruthenien...

Die Matrikeln von Ungvar (ein Teil davon,aber das suchen Sie!) befinden sich (vielleicht die Kopie fuer die Dioecese...) befinden sich auf jeden Fall in Szatmar Nemeti,(jetzt:Satu Mare) Rumaenien...Bei der Dioecese Szatmar.Suchen Sie dort einfach den Herr Vari Laszlo (kein Archivar,nur ein eine helfende Person,) aber er hat die Register wieder zusammengeklebt und repariert.Dort habe ich auch mit den Matrikeln aus Ungvar gearbeitet!...Dort finden Sie auch die Matrikeln aus Nagy Karoly...Mag sein, 1939-1944 sind die Matrikeln von den ungarischen Beamter nach Szatmar gebracht worden...
