hi there, i'm searching for my hungarian roots, and am looking for anyone who may have info about the surname "Turi". more specifically a Maria Turi b:16 Oct 1893 in Verpelet. if anyone has any info, please let me know. i have a picture of her, it is enclosed.

The town of Verpelet falls into the old Heves megye.

The LDS-Mormons (Family History Cente) website is listing as having a Roman Catholic church records from Verpelet. You can order the films and gather ancestral information.

There was an Istvan TURI from Verpelet that passed thru Ellis Island in 1906. He might be related to your ancestor.

ich habe deine antwort gerade erhalten.Ich habe schon mehrere ältere Leute nachgefragt.leute mit Familiename Turi gibt's in Verpelét leider nicht mehr.Die nächste Dorf,wo Turi Familie lebt,Aldebrõ.Es ist das 2.Dorf von hier,cca.5 km von Verpelét.Leute mit Familienname Veres leben mehrere in verpelét.Ich gehe nächste Woche zu unserem Priester,er ist ganz neu hier,die Leute sagen, dass er sehr hilfsbereit ist.Also,Michele, du sollst hoffentlich nicht lange warten, um deine Verwandte kennenzulernen.

Wo lebst du eigentlich?

Hello Anita of Verpelet. I am grandchild of Gyorgy Plosz and Julianna Hangrath, also Hinervadli and Tolmacs families. My greataunts were Maria and Erszebet Plosz, married to brothers, Lipkovics . They were all from Aldebro, Heves. I have been searching for a person in Aldebro or Verpelet who will email to me.I live in Canada.My grandparents came here in 1903. I am a fifty year old woman, my surname before marriage was Plosz. I can send a picture of myself and my grandparents. I can get German or Hungarian friend to translate if you write back. I hope you will. Thank you.

I'm Monika from Aldebro. I was surfing on the internet and I've happened on this page. I wondered that I have namesake or maybe relative in Canada! I tell it to you because my surname is Hinervadli. I'll go to our priest and I'll search something about my ancestors and if it clears that we are really relatives I'll write you. Maybe you are my father's third or fourth cousin! If you want to know anything about Aldebro, write me, and if I can, I tell everything about our small village or your relatives.

Dear Monika, my great great grandmother was Anna Hinervadli of Aldebro. She was married to Martinus Plosz on Jan. 16, 1837, at the age of about nineteen years. Her father was Jacob Hinervadli. They had a child, Pal Plosz born Nov. 12, 1842. Her married Erszebet Stumphauzer on Jan. 15, 1861. They had ad least four children, including my grandfather Gyorgy Plosz (born on Nov. 28, 1875). All from Aldebro.

A véletlen vagy a sors úgy hozta, hogy éppen most kerültem erre a fórumra. Olvastam Janice levelét, valamint a neki írt
válaszodat. Mivel az én nagyapám szintén Aldebrõn vagy Feldebrõn született 1893-ban, lehet, hogy Janice nagyapjának
a testvére volt. Ezért, ha megtudnád kérdezni tõle, hogy ismeri-e a nagyapja testvéreinek a nevét megköszönném.
Sajnos én nem tanultam angolul, ezért kérem a segítségedet. Ha bármiben segíteni tudok nyomozásod során szívesen megteszem.

Thank you for answering, I would be most interested to learn of any connection between our families. Please do not go to any big trouble in looking into it, as I realize many years have passed. I am very interested in Hungary and learning more.My grandparents met when they were working at a wine estate near Aldebro. I am wondering about the population of Aldebro today, and if there are still wine estates nearby. Regards, Janice

My Grandfathers name was Balint (Valentinus?) Plosz
