You need to locate a name of a town in order to proceed with the research. His first name would not have been George in the "old country".
Here is a first name translation website:

Passing thru Ellis Island in 1903 a Gyorgy GACSA from Prozacs. Would this be your George?
Surname GAC'A (Slovak spelling for Gacsa) does list in the village of Vlaca. http://mapy.atlas.sk for locating a town in Slovak Republic.

angelmom705: Re: Genealogy?
I have a copy of George's Declaration of Intention. The town name is Wlacze Austria, the closest I can come to this is Vlaca Slovakia. I understand that in the early 1900s Slovakia was under Austrian Rule. I am not positive about this however. Thank you for the information you have fowarded.

angelmom705: Re: Genealogy?
I would be interested in anything you can tell me. Now that I have proof that George came from this town I can finally stick with it.
