I would say that Volosyanka sounds like a village that would be in Ukraine.

There were 8 SVAJKOs that did pass thru Ellis Island to America.
A Slovak Republic's phone site is listing S'VAJKO in its phone book.

Where do you find the Ellis Island information, I can't find it. Also, If one does not know the city of the Svajko's in Slovakia how can they be found in the phone book because it asks for city name or area code. thank you for all you help.... Dy Buza Mark

Try :
www.ellisislandrecords.org for the Svajkos that passed thru EI. You need to "sort of " register but no money involved. Sometimes the manifest might have two pages. Make sure you look at both.

As for Slovak phone book with English version, just type a zero in the Area code box.
