Can any one tell me the history of this place the Patlan part of the name of this town is my surname. I would very much like to know how this town got its name. Thank You

Can not give you an answer to your question only few websites.

This is what I know. The town of Dorypatlan falls into Tolna megye, Hungary.
The old 1910 Hungarian megye map is at :

I think if your name to have originated from a town by that name, it would be something like Doripatlany(i) in Magyar / Hungarian grammar. (I hope I did that right)
There were 7 PATLANs that passed thru Ellis Island to America. None of them were Magyar.
If you use One Step www.stevemorse.org 5 people from Doripatlan and 24 from Dorypatlan passed thru EI.
