Hi Ildi,

Sorry but my Hungarian is very bad. I hardly speak but I do understand the language quite well and I definately cannot write in Hungarian. I hope it is ok to continue in English?
Thank you for this very interesting information. We were told that we were more or less the only Zányis in the world but that is obviously not true.
I know very little of my father. He died in 1991 and we have no contact with his family. He was born on September 9, 1928 in a suburb or a town close to Budapest and he had no sisters or brothers. I do not have the address but will try to get it. I know his mother was called Anna but I do not have the name of his father but I will try to also get that for you.
Fockter is my mother's name and I took it as it is a much easier name to pronounce here in Sweden.
Did I understand you correctly that your father moved from Slovakia to Hungary? Where do you live?
Best regards,
/Thomas in Stockholm, Sweden
