Zlatica : Re: novotny-sumeg31/01/2004, 03:18:11
The town of Sumeg falls into Zala megye and is in Hungary.

There was also a Szepes-Sumeg which is now called Smizany, Slovak Republic.

The surname NOVOTNY does list in the phone book of village of Smizany. Could this be the one then?

The LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) have filmed the church records of both Sumegs so as long as you know which one is correct, order the films and gather ancestral information.
