Hi:
You can try contacting the Hungarian Embassy where you live.
If you have proper documents to prove your relationship to
your grandfather, you can request a copy of his birth certificate. It would also be helpful if you provide them with information such as place of birth and religion, as many of the records such as baptism etc are still kept by the local churches. My own birth certificate and baptism certificate were sent to me by my great aunt from Hungary at the time of my marriage. If you have any relatives perhaps they can do the same for you.
