This is what I know. The town of Dorypatlan falls into Tolna megye, Hungary. The old 1910 Hungarian megye map is at : http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910 I think if your name to have originated from a town by that name, it would be something like Doripatlany(i) in Magyar / Hungarian grammar. (I hope I did that right) There were 7 PATLANs that passed thru Ellis Island to America. None of them were Magyar.
