bboysza: Re: Any information about Bojsza or Boysza surnames13/08/2004, 00:28:00
Hi - I'm an american-born Boysza as well.

My grandfather was Steven Boysza. I believe he and his brothers and sisters imigrated from Hungary if I remember correctly. I know he spoke with a accent. He died when I was very young (1977). My Boysza family graveyard is high on a mountain in Windber, Pennsylvania. Serveral Boysza's and Bojsza's are burried there. My father (Larry Boysza)told me quite a bit, but I need to check with him again to get the story straight.

Some years ago I ran into a fellow my age (at the time). His last name was Boysa. His name was Tim and he had told me his family was from PA, also some in the coal mining trade (like my grandfather and his brother, Paul).

Someday I'd like to take a trip back to my fathers home town and take some photos and rubbings of my ancestors gravestones.
