I see listed under Beregdaroc your entry for Kiss. I had a great-grandmother, Rose or Roza Kiss, born in Beregdaroc in 1878. Her parents were Ferenc and Barbara (nee Lengyel)Kiss. She married an Aaron Kovacs from the nearby village of Beregdeda (now in the Ukraine). In 1906 she came to the US with her step-son Andrew (Andreas), age 9 and her daughter Rose, age 4.
They went to West Virginia to meet my great-grandfather. He worked in the coal mines there, then the family moved to Saint Johns, Michigan, and finally settled in Port Huron, Michigan around 1920.
I am going to Hungary in 2 weeks, and may try to get to Beregdaroc.
