Might you agree that KOCSIS could be another transliteration for my g-father’s name: GYORGII KOSIC’ (translated from Cyrillic -- Old Slavonic – Greek Orthodox christening entry).

G-father was born in Medina (Tolna), Hungary: May 1878. Midwife at his birth has been translated as EVA TOT (TOTH).

Magyarized on the ship manifest as GYORGY KOSZICS – my g-father came to America in November 1904 with his nephew VUKALOVITS.
