margy: Re: Kapp Family from Backi Brestovac28/06/2005, 06:28:48
Diana, please contact me at my email address, omaro -a-t- isomedia.com -d-o-t- There are many points of overlap between your inquiry and my family research: Backi Brestovac, Doerner surname, relatives from Backi Brestovacs in Reading, Pennsylvania, and, I believe possibly the Kapp surname. I think that the name Kapp originated as Kopschitz, which came from Jakobcsics (many spellings for all of these names.) Do you know anything about this? My great-great-grandparents were Friedrich Dorner, married to Anna Jacobcsics. Their children were born in the Palanka area, but there were many connections with Backi Brestovacs--Dorner/Doerners, Ruppaners, etc. I also had a relative in a displaced persons area in western Germany who came from Brestovacs whose name was Kopschitz. If any of this sounds interesting, please write. Margy
