| My husband's family name is OCSKASY. The only people in the US with that spelling are descended from his father Michael who came to the USA in 1900. He and his brother John and sisters Mary and Anna were born in Vecsa , Zemplin, Austria-Hungary.
I understand that is now in Slovakia, I am told. His father's father's name was also Michael and he was married to Mary Walko. I am interested in the extra S in the name since I can find others with Ocskay or Ockay. The original family and the first generation are now all deceased but I am trying to make a history for my children and grandchildren. | ||
