Roger
I am researching Moritz Pillischer and came across your message. His early work in London as an instrument maker was at 419 Oxford Street London & susequently at 398 Oxford St 1851-1853 and then at 88 New Bond st London from 1854- 1887. I am trying to find any reference to his making of an aneroid barometer in the 1880s or thereabouts which is signed M Pillischer and also Ch. Mellier. It was made to order for Bertram Currie a Victorian collector of Minley Manor and Richmond Terrace.
If you have any references to Moritz Pillischer and his life in London and also when he arrived there and his date of birth & death etc. I would like to hear from you.
If I find anything new about him I will let you know.
