John Marsden: Re: Pillischer28/09/2006, 21:36:06
Roger, I'm researching Moritz and Jacob Pillischer because they made the Ophthalmoscopes for my relative Henry Edward Juler (1842-1921). I went to the National Archives on Tuesday (26-Sept-2006) and took a look at Jacob's Naturalisation papers (HO 144/1063/189431). In 1911 his residence was 9 Carlton Hill, St John's Wood.

Jacob was born in O'Becse in the county of Bacs-Bodrogh on 01 DEC 1838. If you send me your e-mail address (I am I'll send you a full report of the Naturalisation.

BTW: I have the MC of Jacob and Rosa (his cousin). They were married at 88 New Bond Street by the Chief Rabbi Dr N Adler, on July 17th 1872.

Cheers, John.
