Hi all

Thank you all so much for your help. New information suggests my Father's family originated perhaps in Humenne? My great-grandfather's name was Michael Brunda, he died on 10/04/08 (born in 1865) his wife was Mary (or perhaps Maria)(born 1868 died 6/7/44 and we believe they arrived in the US in 1903 with their son John.

My granmother's name was Anna Bezak and we believe she came over in 1908/1909 and had a brother by the name of Paul. My uncle remembers her speaking of going to Budapest frequently so we are figuring she must have lived in that area somewhere.

John and Anna Brunda were married on May 24, 1910 in St. Joseph's in Bayonne, NJ, USA. their children were named:

Mary, John, Steven, Francis, George, Edward, Anne, Irene,Robert, William and Katarina (not born in this order) and one other child whose name I do not know who died in infancy.

They spoke Hungarian.

I am going to try and translate the portions of you letters I do not understand and will check back to see if anyone has any further suggestions, information or help to offer, thank you again,

Lauralee
