My grandmother was Regina Knapp b. Alt Sanktanna (now Comlaus). She married Frank Eberwein. Her sister Barbara Knapp married Ferdinand Eberwein. They migrated to Montreal Canada ca. 1930. Perhaps they are nieces of your Theresia.
From what I have been told, the village of Alt Sanktanna was settled in 1745 as part of the Donauschwaben resettlement. The Romanian wilderness was settled by offering free land to villages that would leave their homes and resettle. The village records were copied, and villages split and transplanted into the wilderness. The Donauschwaben preserved their German culture and have often been described as "more German that Germans." I have been told that the villagers resettled to Alt Sanktanna came from the Franconia region.
