Tidbits about the surname:
In 1990 census of names there were 21 KARABAs in Poland.
www.herby.com.pl/herby in Polish and only distribution.
CZ's phone book is listing few KARABA and KARABOVA (ova a female ending) http://phone.quick.cz
A first name translation:
http://topolcsanyi.alphalink.com.au/names
KARABA Verona was traveling with her children Janos and Josef to Mr. KARABA Pechu(Peter?) Mognach/Mognah/Moguah, Wisc; left parents in Drahocz
She was traveling with other ladies from Drahocz named REBRO. That surname still in Drahovce's phone book.
Do look in www.helenezx.homestead.com Slovak Pride as KARABA is listed by several descendants with whom you can connect. Possible that Mr. Fronzek who posts on http://genfoforum.com Poland, Slovak Republic, Austria, Russia is one of the descendants. I would recommend a post on http://genforum.com
The LDS-Mormons site is not listing church records of Drahovce. They were filmed but slowly being put into the Family History Center.
Drahovce, Nitra region, SK other names: Drahocz, Drachowetz, Drahowcze, Drahowce, Drahoc, Vagdebrod; Vogyerad is Voderady now part of Drahovce.
