I also have Rakaczki's in my family. My mother's Baba was Marie Rakaczki who married Alexander Bravisz 22 September 1894 in Westmoreland Co., PA, USA. They lived in Latrobe and are buried in St. Vincent Cemetery. I would love to share info and learn more about the name. I really know nothing. Per family, she was born in Austria Hungary September 8, 1878. She died in Latrobe, March 29, 1960. I've seen the surname spelled different ways but this is the spelling she used on her marriage license. My uncle said she had a brother Emery and a sister Susan or Suzie. He's not sure. And that her mother's maiden name was Kovalcic. Would love to make a connection and learn more of this interesting surname.
