| I am sorry to get back to you so late, but my husband and I were serving a mission for our church and now we are back home.
Please send me your e-mail address so I can get what info you have. Yes, my grandfather's name was written as Ufholtz when he came through Ellis Island, and I think it was common for the person in charge to spell the names the way they heard them not how they were actually spelled. Thanks, Julie White p.s. I know that there are a lot of families by the name of Ufholz who live in the Cleveland, Ohio areqa, but I don't think they are mine, but it will be worth looking into. I am not sure how to check into this, but I will see what I can do and maybe you would like to do the same. | ||
