Bobbi: Anscheringer in Austria/Hungary
Hi, I am looking for any descendents of Monica Resch and Andreas Anscheringer. Andreas and Monica were married about 1827 in Breitenbrunn, Austria, now part of Brugenland. They had children Francisca, Monica, Andreas, Joseph, Stephen, plus several others. I have not been able to find anybody else who is researching this family. I would love to hear from any Anscheringers at all, to help me piece things together.

Thanks, Bobbi

Anscheringer Melitta: Re: Anscheringer in Austria/Hungary
hi Bobby,

i'm living with my family in Breitenbrunn. I think we are 6 or more families there with the surname Anscheringer.

My Grandfather died in the 2nd world war. His name was Josef Anscheringer. His brother Andreas died maybe 6 years ago.
There were also sisters. I do'nt know how many. But I will ask my father.

Were do you live? Is your name also Anscheringer?

Sorry, but my English is not so good.

Bobbi: Re: Anscheringer in Austria/Hungary
Hi Melitta,
I was so happy to get your message. I think there must be a connection. From what I have seen, Anscheringer isn't that common of a name. I am not personally an Anscheringer. My g-g-Grandfather, Joseph Resch had a sister Monica who married Andreas Anscheringer. Monica was born in Breitenbrunn in 1803. I do not have a death date for her. Her husband Andreas Anscheringer was born about 1802 and died March 25, 1841. They were married 1827 in Breitenbrunn. They had at least 7 children between 1827 and 1840. I believe that Monica and her family stayed in Breitenbrunn. Joseph Resch immigrated with other families from Breitenbrunn in 1855 to the United States and lived in Wisconsin. I was brought up in the same town that Joseph settled in.

You mentioned that your Grandfather was Josef Anscheringer. Do you know what his parents names were? I hope I hear from you again so we can figure out what the connection is.

Thank you, Bobbi
