Hello, my mother's surname was Argay, she was daughter of Hungarian Evangelical Bishop in Cluj (Romania) György Argay. In our family cronicle they were living in Korpona (Krupina actual in Slovakia).

Well. Pretty good. My grandfather's name was Argay (Samuel *1900) (was living in Krupina too) I know that there are some others Argays there. My father's name is Argay (Ivan *1937) (now living in Prague) and my last name is Argay (Martin *1968)

I'd like to know more about Argay lastname name. I have genealogy tree until 1850. Please help me to create correct one. If you have any information of Gyorgy Argay or anyone with this surname Argay. (I'll be really happy to get photocopy of any information (mostly from old bibles) I can give you informations which I have.

Hey there my grand-grand-mother was called argay. She married a slowakian man. So we kinda lost the name. My mother (slowakian) married a german, so my surname is now Schulze. Do you know anything about the name? An hungarian friend of mine told me that it should be a very old name... Unfortunately i dont know too much about it, while searching for something i had a hit to this forum. Maybe i find something and if i do i ll let ya know. Is your surname argay? Bye Bye.
