Bagán Ilona: Bagán nevűek
A Bagán név eredetére vagyok kíváncsi, honnan származik, hogyan jutottunk ehhez a különleges családnévhez!

I'm searching for the sn of Bagan from Stankovany and immigrated to America around 1800-1814. Would you be able to help?

The town of Stankovany is in Slovak Republic.

No surname BAGAN in SK's phone book. www.zoznamst.sk but that does not mean it did not exist.
An ALL site for research in SK: www.iabsi.com/gen/public Are you sure on the spelling and the immigration date?

I guess it did exist in SK. Take a look in www.geoportal.sk/roep/e.php
Took a look in EI site www.ellisislandrecords.org and there were BAGANs. Use a One Step/Gray form www.stevemorse.org and from Sztankovan (old name of Stankovany) a Maria BAGAN.
